Rail Travel
Rail travel is subject to the relevant terms and conditions of the particular railway undertaking and, where applicable, the provisions of the Convention concerning the International Carriage by Rail (COTIF) of 9 May 1980 including the Uniform Regulations concerning the contract of the International Rail Passenger and Luggage Traffic (CIV) contained in Appendix A of the Convention. General Information
Travel must be on the dates and times shown on your ticket. No break of journey is allowed other than to join connecting services.
If you travel on a different train or ferry to that booked, your ticket will be invalid and a full single fare will be payable.
Holyhead and Fishguard Advance single fares can only be purchased up to 18:00 hours the day before travel at train stations and 16:00 hours direct with Stena Line and are only valid on the date and train services shown on the ticket. Are subject to limited availability and if there is no availability a Standard single fare will be charged. You may not start, break, resume or end your journey at any intermediate station except to change from/to connecting trains shown on ticket or itinerary. Standard single fares can be purchased at any time and when Advance tickets are not available.
Prices
Prices are valid until further notice and may be subject to change.
For DART rail to Dublin an additional £1 per person single journey will be charged to the ticket price. Rail & Sail fares exclude travel on the LUAS system in Dublin and the London Underground.
Rail Link Bus between Cairnryan and Ayr return
Rail journeys commence or terminate at Ayr rail station and a dedicated Rail Link coach service will transport you direct to or from Loch Ryan Port.
The through Rail & Sail ticket includes the cost of the coach. Dogs or pets cannot be accommodated onboard the Rail Link coach however officially registered guide, hearing or assistance dogs will be able to travel on the coach with their owners free of charge. For guests with particular needs the Rail Link coach can accommodate one guest who needs to remain in their wheelchair for the duration of the coach journey per departure. It is very important to make a reservation as early as possible but no less than 48 hours before the date of intended travel. You must specifically advise Stena Line of your requirements. by telephone calling 03443 35 00 27 or by email to railbus@stenaline.com advising name, booking reference, date and time of outward and return travel and your requirements.
Cancellation and Amendment Charges
For customers bookings direct with Stena Line by phone and for any cancellations or amendments an administration fee will apply. For details concerning charges on tickets that have been issued, please call us on 03443 35 00 27 for further details. Advance fares are non refundable.

Carriage of Bicycles
Bicycles incur a £10 single charge with Stena Line and you are advised to check with the relevant railway operator that they can be carried on the train. Subject to availability of space.
Carriage of Pets
Pets cannot be accommodated on the Rail Link coach between Cairnryan and Ayr. However officially registered guide, hearing or assistance dogs will be able to travel on the coach, with their owners, free of charge.
