Day trip to Belfast

Get to know the best bits of Belfast. Take the kids to Belfast Zoo, head over to the Titanic Quarter, or wander around the University area, which is home to the Ulster Museum and Botanic Gardens. You can even upgrade your trip to include a Metro dayLink Card~; this offers travel on all Metro and Glider bus services throughout Belfast including from Belfast port into the city centre where you’ll find great shopping, restaurants and cafes.

• Depart Cairnryan on the 07:30 or 11:30 sailing
• Return on either the 15:30 or 19:30 sailing from Belfast
• *Please note Metro dayLink Card only available for travel from 27 March

How much does it cost?

Up to 30 June

• Mon - Sun £20 per adult/£10 per child

From 1 July - 18 December

• Tues - Thurs £20 per adult/£10 per child
• Fri - Mon £30 per adult/£15 per child

~Metro dayLink Card can be added at the Tickets & Entries step for only £4 per adult or child aged 5 or over. Please note: Metro dayLink cards are not required for children aged 4 and under.

What can I do in Belfast?

Visit the iconic City Hall. Hit the shops of Royal Avenue, Corn Market and Victoria Square; or explore the cobbled streets, pubs and eateries in the Cathedral Quarter. Titanic Belfast is one of Northern Ireland’s most popular tourist attractions, while W5 is an award-winning science and discovery centre for kids. If you're interested in the city’s history, head to the Ulster Museum or book a guided bus or black taxi tour. You’ll be amazed at how much you can fit into one day!

How to book

• Simply click the FIND TRIP button on the top right of this page, then follow these steps:
• Select the Cairnryan – Belfast route and your travel dates
• Add the number of passengers travelling
• In the 'mode of transport’ panel, choose ‘On foot with no vehicle’
• When the sailings are displayed in the next step, select the 07:30 or 11:30 sailing from Cairnryan and either the 15:30 or 19:30 sailing from Belfast on the same day.
• If you would like to include a Metro dayLink pass select the number required in the “Tickets & Entries" step . Metro dayLink cards are not required for children aged 4 and under.
